A strong earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale hits Mexico.

According to the USGS, the earthquake was of magnitude 6.0, occurred at Monday, April 27, 2009 at 16:46:31 UTC (Monday, April 27, 2009 at 11:46:31 AM local time). The epicenter was at Guerrero, Mexico at a depth of 41.2 km.

At the time of writing, no reports of injuries or casualties were made available.
