140 tremors rocked India so far this year
November 28th, 2011 - 8:27 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Nov 28 (IANS) About 140 earthquakes, in and around the Indian subcontinent, have been felt since January this year, parliament was informed Monday.
Replying to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State of Science and Technology Ashwani Kumar said that except the Sep 18 earthquake that occurred on the Sikkim-Nepal border, none other caused significant impact.
The impact of this earthquake was also reported to have been felt in several part of northeastern regions of the country, he said.
