Zooey Deschanel might star in a Spider-Man movie

Los Angeles, Nov 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) It is rumored that Zooey Deschanel could possibly star in an upcoming Spider-Man movie. Showbizspy.com reported that sources have revealed that the director, Marc Webb is in negotiations with the actress to play Betty Brant in the movie.
The upcoming Spider-Man movie will not feature Mary Jane and that means Zooey Deschanel could be playing a leading role in the upcoming movie. The source reportedly told the website that “Betty was a minor character in the previous Spidey movies, but Marc has big plans for her. He wants a strong performer to carry the role, and Zooey fits the bill perfectly. The role is hers if she wants it”.
The movie which is set to be released in July 3, 2012 already has some confirmed casts. “The social Network” star, Andrew Garfield has been confirmed as the new Spider-Man in the upcoming movie with Emma Stone playing Gwen Stacy. The film’s Dr. Curt Connors/ Lizard will be played by Rhys Ifans.
Hope the movie becomes a hit. It is due to be released in 3D and it is hoped that the first Spider-Man in 3D will give the franchise its real value.
