Nov. 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) People all over the United States celebrated the Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, November 26, 2009. There were several entertaining events in different parts of the country to celebrate the Thanksgiving Day. Music artists and other celebrities attended different events to lit up the day with entertainment and joy. This year, Ziggy Marley, the eldest son of Bob Marley has performed on Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, New York City.

Ziggy Marley was seen accompanied by Judah, his daughter who is now four and half years old. Judah performed in the Parade along with his father Ziggy Marley. However the other four children of Ziggy Marley, Gideon [age two and half years], Zuri [age fourteen years], Justice [age eighteen years] and Daniel [age twenty years] were not seen in the parade. In a recent interview, Rita Marley stated that Judah will carry on the legacy of his grandfather Bob Marley and her performance on the Thanksgiving Day Parade is expected to make her popular with the Marley fans.

This year Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade celebrated its 83rd year and there were several attractions apart from Ziggy Marley’s performance with his little daughter. It has been stated by the sources that this Thanksgiving Day Parade had performances from Jane Krawoski as well as Katharine McPhee. Spongebob, Kermit and Spiderman that floated throughout this parade route also amused people who participated in this event.Thanksgiving Day Parade was organized in different parts of the country but this parade has always gained more importance than many other parades. There were huge crowd in the streets yet the exact number has not yet been reported.
