Zee’s food channel set to go on air Thursday
December 7th, 2010 - 8:30 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, Dec 7 (IANS) Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) Tuesday announced the launch of India’s first 24-hour food channel Zee Khana Khazana, which will go on air Thursday.
“We are here today, because we have always pre-empted our viewers’ changing needs and catered accordingly. Zee was the first to launch India’s first GEC (General Entertainment Channel) Zee TV… Today, with Zee Khana Khazana, India’s first food channel, we are back with yet another first in the Indian television space,” Punit Goenka, MD and CEO, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL), said in a statement.
The 24-hour food channel will offer both India-based as well as international food programmes.
“Chef’s special”, “A Touch of Turmeric”, and “Khana Khazana” will focus on Indian cuisine, while “The Hairy Bikers Cook Book”, “Chefs - Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is”, “Saturday Kitchen series” and “James Martin Favourite Feasts” will focus on international food.
