Zach Galifianakis Shares A Joint At Real Time With Bill Maher –Trouble Brewing?

November 3, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The general consensus on legalizing the weed on the Golden Coast has been that of opposition. However, the discussion on Proposition 19 still continues and on HBO’s ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’ just heated up a little bit more with Hangover star Zach Galifianakis. The actor made his stand on the topic pretty clear last night at the show as he took out a joint and took puff from it and shared it with his fellow guests.
It has been well known that Bill Maher too has been supporting the legalization of marijuana in California. The small section of people who are supporting the legalization believes that it will boost the failing economy of California immensely. While talking at the show the actor acted to be getting a high from the joint as he said that he could see dragons in the audience.
It is quite possible that Galifianakis puffed the joint just to break the “taboo” he spoke about being associated with marijuana, earlier in the show. He passed the joint to Margaret Hoover a fellow panelist and talk show host. However, a conservative, smelled it and took a puff from it after which handed it to another conservative guest Reihan Salam. The writer didn’t smoke it but passed it back to the actor.
This is allegedly the first time anyone openly smoked a joint in US TV and if the police does find evidence of Galifianakis smoking real weed, he would be in quite a trouble with the legal system.
