Zac Efron wants to play Luke Skywalker in new Star Wars TV series
April 10th, 2009 - 2:48 pm ICT by ANIWashington, April 10 (ANI): High School Musical star Zac Efron has revealed that he wants to play Luke Skywalker in George Lucas’ new Star Wars TV series.
The actor loved the chance to play with props from the original ‘Star Wars’ franchise in his current movie ‘17 Again’ and says he would jump at the chance to play one of the sci-fi programme’s most famous characters.
“There were real stormtrooper outfits, real memorabilia from the movie. There were a lot of valuable things we were wrecking in that house. That element, that nerd part of the film, is right up my alley,” Contactmusic quoted Efron as telling MovieHole.net.
“I was so at home in that house. I would look at everything for hours. I have pictures with Darth Vader and Chewbacca.
“George Lucas is doing a Star Wars TV series? Oh man. I’ll have to put in a phone call. Young Skywalker? Yeah… Bring it On,” he added.
