Yuvan Shankar Raja’s ‘Kadhal Solla Vandhen’ Released

June 17, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): G Boopathy Pandian, who has directed Devadayai Kanden, Thiruvilayadal Arambam and Malaikottai is now directing a film titled Kadhal Solla Vandhen. The audio CD of this film was released yesterday in a function held at the Sathyam Theatre in Chennai.

Director K Bhagyaraj who spoke on this occasion compared Tamil cinema’s fate to the football match between Brazil and Korea. He said,” Last night I watched the World Football match between Brazil and Korea on the TV. The Korea team was distressed. The people of Korea were looking sad. Today Tamil cinema’s fate is about the same… If we make films with new faces, we don’t get the theatres. It is very difficult to release small budgeted films. They are not giving theaters to these films.”

Tamil Nadu Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Parithi Ilam Vazhidi, Film Producers Council president Rama Narayanan, vice president Anbalaya K Prabhakaran, Distributors Council Kalaipuli G Sekaran, FEFSI president V C Guganathan, directors Vikraman, R K Selvamani, Jayam Raja, Lingusamy, E Ramadoss, small screen director Vidudhalai, lyrist Na Muthukumar and cinematographer Raana participated in this event and spoke on the occasion.

Producers S Jayakumar, Meena Jayakumar and director Boopathy Pandian welcomed the gathering.
