June 25, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Yash Raj films are usually known for the high promotion of their movies. But the latest film from this production house has not been discussed much in the media. We are talking about the Pradeep Sarkar directed movie Lafangey Parindey, which is set to release, worldwide, on August 20, according to a press statement from Yashraj Films.

Produced by Aditya Chopra, the movie Lafangey Parindey stars Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone as the lead pair. The storyline is reportedly based on the bike gangs of Mumbai and both the lead roles will be seen doing some brave stunts in the film. It is mainly a love story with the streets of Mumbai as a backdrop.

This is going to be the second film of Pradeep Sarkar under the YRF banner. Earlier, he directed Laaga Chunari Mein Daag under them with Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee as the lead pair. But the film could not do much business at the box office.

Sarkar had directed his first film Parineeta in 2005 with Vidya Balan and Saif Ali Khan, which was a modern version of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s novel of the same name.

In Lafangey Parindey, Deepika Padukone will be seen for the first time with Neil NItin Mukesh. We hope the pair is able to create magic for YRF!
