YRF TV to launch on Sony Entertainment Television

January 1, 2010 will mark the entry of YRF TV, a subsidiary of India’s premier studio- Yash Raj Films Pvt. Ltd. on Sony Entertainment Television (now Multi Screen Media Private Limited) -India’s leading television broadcaster.
The new offering from YRF TV, weekends on Sony Entertainment Television, will be “distinct” in its look with fresh, contemporary and engaging storylines that reflect the dreams, aspirations and passion of today’s young India and is attuned to deliver “a unique and novel television viewing experience”. The brand new line up of 5 new shows– “1 non-fiction and 4 fictions” is daringly different, contemporary and in line with sensibilities of today’s Indian family.
Commenting on the shows, Yash Chopra said, “YRF TV is an initiative to engage and entertain the entire family through content which combines high quality production values with contemporary story telling– characters, language and environment to which today’s Indian family can relate. We are happy that Sony Entertainment Television has shown the commitment to back the YRF TV content.”
