Dec. 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The “Young Money” group, the rapper band that has been created by the proteges of rapper Lil Wayne, seems to be on a roll. The group announced on Wednesday, Dec. 16, that they would be going on a tour. The tour will begin on Thursday, Dec. 17, and will continue till the 10th of January, 2010. Besides this, the band’s latest album is also scheduled for a release on Dec 21. The mentor, Lil Wayne’s latest album was also scheduled to be released on that very date, but it had been pushed back till February.

For Lil Wayne too, the end of this year and the early months of the next seem to be filled with mixed blessings. The mentor of the band has also been slated to accompany the tour of his protege band. About a month after the completion of the tour, he will be facing a year in prison on gun charges. Although the dates and venues of the band has been announced, the official name of the tour has not been released yet.

Lil Wayne, along with “Young Money”, will be touring the whole of the United States. The band will hold its first performance of the tour at the Dodge Arena in Hidalgo. The other places include San Diego, Beaumont, Austin, Corpus Christi, Atlanta, El Paso and Lafayette among others. The tour will come to its grand finale at the Desoto Civic Center in Southaven. In other “Young Money” news, it has been announced by Game, the West Coast rapper, that a member of the band, Nick Minaj, is slated to feature in his upcoming album, “Classic” from R.E.D.
