Young Frankenstein To Be Screened During The Halloween Weekend

Oct. 31, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The much acclaimed comedy movie “Young Frankenstein” is all set to be screened in the Hollywood Palm Cinema in Naperville this weekend. The show is scheduled to be screened on Sunday and would be hosted by Teri Garr, who also stars in the 1974 released movie. As Halloween is just around the corner, it is expected that the event would be hugely attended by the fans of this legendary movie.
Teri Garr is a celebrated Hollywood personality who is known for playing variety of roles that have been widely appreciated and is also famous for her amazing comic timings. Moreover, the actress has lately played a significant role in creating awareness about the neurological disorder, Multiple Sclerosis. The weekend screening of the Mel Brooks movie is an attempt in the same direction as the funds raised in the event would go for creating awareness about the ailment.
The Mel Brooks directed movie Young Frankenstein during its release in the 70’s gained immense popularity among the movie lovers. The film was a lively and affectionate mockery of the movies [the horror genre] especially the different movie versions of the the novel Frankenstein which was released during the decade of 1930. The novel has been written by highly acclaimed British novelist Mark Shelley. The film which stars American stage actor Gene Wilder in the title role also features in ‘List of the 50 Greatest Comedy Film of All Time’ by the Total Film Magazine and it also ranks on number 13 among the 100 funniest American films by the American Film Institute.
