Los Angeles, Sept 1 (IBNS) Victims of India-born fashion designer Anand Jon, who has been sentenced to 59 years of imprisonment for sexually abusing teenage girls and women from 2002-2007, said they are yet to come over the psychological shock he gave them.

“I was 14. You took my adolescence, my trust, my dream and completely manipulated them for your sexual desires..I am yet to come out of the psychological shock you gave me,” one of the victims said, while giving her statement before the Los Angeles Superior Court Monday.

Another victim said: “Whenever I recall what Jon did to me, I shudder…I will never be able to trust anyone because of this single man who made my life hell.”

All the victims said they continue suffering from depression and paranoia, and that their trust in others has been completely shattered by what they went through. Even their families are tormented by what their daughters went through, reported Los Angeles Times.

Jon lured girls as young as 14 to his apartment in Beverly Hills, often through the Internet, and used them to act out his sexual fantasies.

The women broke into tears when the court sentenced Jon to 59 years of imprisonment Monday.

Jon was arrested in March 2007 and convicted November 2008 for a series of 16 sex crimes, including rape and sexual battery.
