Yoko Ono Keeps The Legend Alive

yoko Wife of legendary singer John Lennon, Yoko Ono will be getting together with the record label EMI to celebrate the birthday of the singer. She got together with Lady Gaga as a part of the tribute to her husband who has been one of the most influential figures in the music industry. On October 9 John Lennon would have turned 70 and Yoko Ono said recently after releasing three new compilations that a new generation of listeners will now be able to understand and appreciate the music of the artist.

There are also festivities lined up in honor of the star this weekend as the We Are Plastic Ono Band will perform at several places. There will also be a weekend long tribute to the former Beatles founder at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Lady Gaga has admitted earlier that she is a huge fan of John Lennon and last year Yoko Ono said in a statement that she loved Lady Gaga’s version of ‘Imagine’.

Yoko Ono and John Lennon’s son Sean Lennon also joined his mother for the concert last week which was attended by some big celebs as well. Yoko Ono collaborated with John Lennon for the album ‘Double Fantasy’ just months before John Lennon was shot dead by a fan outside his apartment. Yoko Ono over the years has played a crucial role in keeping the legacy of John Lennon alive. Being an established musician and songwriter herself, many feel that the best was yet to come from the two artists, ‘If Only’, John Lennon lived past 40.
