is nearing completion and the first time director is geared for some appreciation as he believes his choice of actors is not only good, but best suited for the role too. Shantha was present at a press-con where he shared that his actor Yogish happens to be the best choice for the film given his subject.

For those not in the loop, Shantha is directing his first, titled Devadas, which is not the traditional Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s novel’s remake. Shantha’s Devadas spans a modern life where the hero plays the role of a software engineer. And given the name, there would be a love story involved in here.

Shantha has had an experience of being a production manager for over two decades now and is happy that his debut project is being funded by HM Krishna Murthy and Muniraju. Prameela Joshi and Rangayana Raghu are part of the cast too.

The music of the film has been given by Joshua Sridhar. Shantha shared that the shooting and recording for the tracks has already completed. Surprisingly, the team of Devadas shot through the entire song schedule at one go.

Wishing that the debut project for the director turns out good, we hope that Yogish has done justice to a role which has been associated with the likes of Shah Rukh Khan in recent times.
