Yasir Shah out of Shorr

May 14, 2010 (Sampurn Wire):What was initially called Kathputli, was finally titled as Shorr – Goongi Kankoo Ki Bolti Kahani . Sahara One and Jay Mehta Productions will have to look for a new male protagonist too with Pakistani origin actor Yasir Shah unable to take up the show.
(Shah’s father hails from Pakistan, while his mother is Indian. The actor though is a UAE national)
While chatting with this reporter earlier, Shah had said that he wouldn’t be able to take up that show. He didn’t give the reason though. The actor was in Delhi,to attend a cousin’s wedding.
We spoke to female protagonist Snigdha Srivastav at the show’s press conference on Wednesday.
“Yasir had shot for two episodes for us. Thereafter, we haven’t seen him. I don’t know the exact reason but perhaps, there must be issues regarding his visa. As of now, there hasn’t been any replacement. Presently we’re shooting Kankoo’s scene at her home,” said Srivastav.
