“Yashraj Films’ is all set for the small screen innings as it launches YRF TV on Sony Entertainment Television. They are coming up with a weekend slot of 5 shows which promise to provide complete entertainment and refreshing change from the usual melodramas. YRF TV promises to be distinct in its look with fresh, contemporary and engaging storylines. The launch was graced by the film industry’s most powerful man Yash Chopra and director par excellence Karan Johar.

Speaking about a taking the YRF brand to a higher level, Yash Chopra said, “Debuting on small screen is the third milestone that “Yash Raj Films’ has achieved. First was when Aditya Chopra came in direction and gave a blockbuster film “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (DDLJ) and second was when we started Yash Raj studios in 2004.”

“Taking a plunge into television world was Aditya’s brain child; he was much obsessed about television and he had taken the decision to form YRF television” he adds further.

Talking about the shows he said, “I have seen few episodes of the show and really liked it and I hope that the audience also loves it. We have kept the youngest team possible to make the shows look fresh and new in content and we have tried to bring in a bit of film into TV shows,” he adds further.

“Lift Kara De’ is termed as the mother of all reality shows on Indian Television with 20 of India’s Biggest Super- stars on one platform. Each week will feature 1 super star and their biggest fan and lives will change. Hosted by Karan Johar, this format will give hope and lift the spirits of the entire nation. Speaking about the show its celebrity anchor Karan Johar said, “The show is not just about a fan meeting his favourite film star but it also has emotions attached to it.”

“Mahi Way’ is the first contemporary representation of a young girl on small screen. Imaginative, unapologetic, creative, she wants everything in life… that’s Mahi (Mahi Talwar). A young 25 year old girl she is positive, fun loving and carefree. She has the same dreams and ambition which any girl of her age can dream of.

“Rishta.Com’ is today’s take on the most traditional institution of Marriage. Two young, good-looking, charming and completely opposite personalities- Isha (Shruti Seth) and Rohan (Kavi Shashtri) have formed a company to find you the perfect match.
