‘X-Men: First Class’ whips up $56 mn on opening weekend

The opening for director Matthew Vaughn’s “X-Men: First Class” was impressive considering it is a complete reboot with a fresh cast including James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Rose Byrne and Kevin Bacon, reports indiewire.com.
The collection indicates that the box office summer market remains vigorous.
