Oct 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Last night on ‘The X Factor’, the top sixteen of the remaining thirty two acts would be revealed. Simon Cowell has the girls, LA Reid has the boys, Paula Abdul has the groups, and Nicole Scherzinger has the Over 30’s. The contestants have been separated into these four groups, and each judge had to choose their top four last night.

Josh Krajcik was the first of Nicole’s contestants to be sent on to the live shows. He was very happy. Dexter Haygood was the next one which she decided to take on to live shows. She told him that her head said one thing, but her heart said another, and she had a big big heart. Dexter is currently homeless, and this could be his last chance to make it. Nicole obviously wanted to give him that chance. Leroy Bell will also be going through. At 69 years old, he is another who could be living his last chance at a dream. Stacy Francis was Nicole’s final contestant to make the her top 4.

Paula chose to send the Brewer Boys on to the live shows. These brothers were very excited to hear the news. Illusion Confusion and 2Squar’d did not make it through. 4Shore was also brought out, and told that they would not be going through. This group was sent home as well. Lakoda Rayne and Intensity had better news, however, as both groups are going through to the top 16. Stereo Hoggz was her last choice to go through to the top 16.

As La Reid revealed his decisions, he sent Skyelor Anderson, Nick Voss, and Brennin Hunt home. Phillip Lomax will be his first choice for the live shows, and LA shared with Phillip that he needed to up his game, “I can’t have you doing Sinatra every night,” LA explained. Brian Bradley will also be going on the the live shows. Chris Rene has LA a bit worried about how he will handle the pressure of the competition, and his struggles with addiction. Although LA admits that he went back and forth with his decision, he has decided that Chris will also be sent on to the next round. Marcus Canty was LA’s final choice in his top 4.

Simone Battle was the first contestant to make it through for Simon Cowell as he shocked the world by taking her in, and sending Tora home. Drew Ryniewicz was next up to discover her fate. This fourteen year old was amazing during her audition, but Simon was afraid she is too young. Simon told her that she was very good, he did not feel that she was the best teen… she was the best contestant of the whole day. She is in his final four. Simon shocked viewers once again as he sent Caitlin Koch home and kept Tiah Oliver.

Thirteen year old Rachel Crow is Simon’s last choice for his top 4. However, as the show was drawing to a close, Simon shared that he felt he had made a serious mistake. As the judges spoke about whether or not there was one contestant which needed a second chance. Simon got on a plane, and went to Florida, to the home of Melanie Amaro. He apologized to her and her family for his mistake, and he asked her to come back and be on the live shows. Her family was ecstatic. So there will be 17 top contestants for the first season of the X Factor in the USA.
