X Factor Season Premiere: Caitlynn Curtis
September 23rd, 2011 - 3:19 pm ICT by Angela Kaye MasonSep 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) They have come from all over to win the biggest prize in music history, a five million dollar contract from Sony. It was the second night of the X Factor Season Premiere last night, and everyone was desperate to get their hands on that prize. But first they have to impress the four judges, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger, and LA Reid.
Sixteen year old Caitlynn has brought her whole family with her, and admits she is very nervous. She said growing up watching Simon, and now auditioning in front of him is wracking her nerves. She did ‘Firework’. The audience loved her immediately.
Nicole felt that there was room to grow. Simon advised her to get in a group with three or four girls, because her voice is not strong enough for solo. Simon gave her a no, and Nicole explained that they did not have time to give her time to grow here. She also said no. As Paula began to speak, Caitlynn began to cry, and Paula stepped on stage and hugged her. LA advised her to take this moment…that moments like these create champions. She will not be moving on.
