X Factor: Other-Worldy Mark
September 29th, 2011 - 3:26 pm ICT by Angela Kaye MasonSep 29 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Thousands lined up in the Windy City, Chicago, Illinois to audition for a contest whose prize is a five million dollar contract with Sony. Last night’s episode of ‘The X Factor’ featured judges Cheryl Cole, Paula Abdul, LA Reid, and Simon Cowell.
Thirty one year old Mark is a graduate student who says that he uses both sides of his brain, analytical and logical. He admits he came to the audition for money, which LA loved for it’s honesty. Simon asked him where he sees himself in ten years’ time. He answered, “in the realm of a Renaissance,” which made Simon ask Mark if he had ever dated Paula.
Mark began to sing a very weird song of his own, while dancing some sort of robot. The judges did not look impressed, although they did seem entertained. The audience began to go wild as he sang, “I Don’t Belong Here.” Paula said, “You don’t belong here, you are other-worldy. I think I have visited there a time or two in my life.” The other judges, especially Simon, burst into laughter. Oddly enough, he received yes voted from Paula, Cheryl, and LA immediately, and Simon just smirked, but did not vote.
