Sep 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Thousands of contestants lined up to compete in last night’s episode of ‘The X Factor’, which was filmed in Newark, New Jersey. Simon Cowell, LA Reid, Nicole Scherzinger, and Paula Abdul were all on hand to judge the show, which offered the largest prize in music or television, a $5M contract from Sony.

Cashmere, whose real name is Clarissa says she has been singing since she was a little girl, and that she recently sang at karaoke, which the audience seemed to love. She says she would self title her first album. Cashmere sang Mariah Carrie’s ‘Always Be My Baby’. She started off very shaky, and nervous, with laughs from the audience.

Simon soon joined them, along with the rest of the judges, and Paula finally stopped the song. Simon could not even stop laughing enough to talk, but stammered out, “Cashmere, when you say that people screamed when you did karaoke, I don’t think it was a compliment.” She received four no votes.
