WWE Wrestlemania XXVII:Michael Cole vs Jerry “The King” Lawler

Apr 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Michale Cole came to the ring at Wrestlemania in Atlanta Ga wearing protective gear and orange spandex to speak on and on about how much he was going to destroy Jerry Lawler. As he finished, his trainer, Jack Swagger began to come towards the ring as though he were invincible…until Stone Cold Steve Austin;s music began, that is. As the Texas Rattlesnake, Steve Austin rode out to the ring on a four wheeler, Swagger had to rush out of the way, looking both annoyed and frightened. Michael Cole obviously wanted to be no where near Austin.

Jerry The King Lawler then made his way to the ring for the first match he has ever had the chance to participate in during his forty year career with the WWE. Cole ran into his plexiglass hiding booth called “The Cole Mine” as he begged Lawler to let bygones be bygones. Hopefully, Jerry will smell the rat…and he does. Jerry went over the wall of the Cole Mine and slammed Cole into the walls of his safety area. Since Cole had the doors locked, he was trapped in his own creation, and Lawler continued to wham on him, finally dragging him out of the box.

Stone Cold Steve Austin watched on as the two men climbed towards the ring. Austin attention was captured by Cole for a second, however, and Swagger took advantage of it, and slammed Lawler. He then placed Lawler into an ankle lock. As Lawler climbed into the ring, Cole took advantage of the leg injury which Swagger had just done to Lawler. Jerry was obviously in pain as Michael continued to torment the leg.

Lawler was soon able to regain control of the match, and began to take his revenge for every horrible remark which Cole has said and done to Lawler. Cole spoke bad of Lawler’s mother soon after her death, spoke ill of Lawler’s deceased father, and brought Lawler’s estranged son to the show to torment The King. Lawler had Cole down for a three count, but before Austin got to three, Lawler picked Cole back up…he was having too much fun beating Cole to end now.

Soon, Lawler placed Cole in an ankle lock, and Cole screamed like a baby. Austin finally asked him is he gave up, and Cole screamed, “Yes! Yes I do!” Lawler wins the match, much to the thrill of announcers Booker T, and JR. But there was an interruption via email from the General Manager, which claimed that Lawler had lost the match due to disqualification, making Cole the winner. Seems pretty fishy that the anonymous General Manager, who usually texts in on Cole’s computer, would make such a call.
