WWE Smackdown: Tyson Kidd vs Daniel Bryan

August 6th, 2011 - 6:32 pm ICT by Angela Kaye Mason

Tyson Kidd stood anxiously in the ring last night on ‘WWE Friday Night Smackdown’ waiting to meet his opponent, Daniel Bryan who came to the ring holding his “Money on the Bank” briefcase. Wade Barrett joined the announcers for the match, in an apparent effort to express his disgust with Daniel Bryan having the briefcase, which he feels that he should have won. Bryan has already shared that he intends to use that briefcase next year at Wrestlemania after John Cena and The Rock go at it.

Meanwhile, Daniel Bryan and Tyson Kidd seemed pretty evenly matched in the ring as they took turns ruling the battle. The referee had to pull Kidd of of Bryan at one point, and soon Kidd had Bryan’s legs twisted around the ring post. Bryan broke free, and had Kidd in the center of the ring floor, pounding his fists into his opponent. Bryan them climbed to the top of the ropes, but Kidd managed to stop him, and the two men stood on the ropes, battling it out in the corner. Bryan pulled off a missile drop kick on Tyson Kidd which was quite amazing. He then gave Kidd several knee kicks to the chest. Kidd reversed things and had Bryan in a submission maneuver which twisted Bryan’s leg. Bryan made it to the ropes, and the referee made Kidd let go. The match was finally won by Daniel Bryan, much to Wade Barrett’s disappointment.
