WWE Smackdown: The Cutting Edge

Sep 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Edge took the stage center ring on a stool and hosted his show ‘The Cutting Edge’. He spoke of his dream of being a wrestler while watching Stone Cold win in that very ring. Edge also shared how it felt to win his own belt in the same ring. He then called Mark Henry to the ring. The World’s Strongest Man was Edge’s first guest star.

Mark Henry is due to be in a World Heavy Weight match against the current champion, Randy Orton this Sunday. The Viper, Randy Orton was then called to the ring by Edge for the interview. The commentators pointed out how volatile the situation could become with Edge in the ring beside the vicious and angry Mark Henry in the ring, along with Randy Orton, who seemed to be on the very edge.

Edge reminded the two men that Teddy Long had issued an order that neither man could touch the other during ‘The Cutting Edge’. Edge pointed out to Orton that Henry had been demolishing everything in his path, and asked if Orton really felt that he could beat Henry. Orton told Edge and Henry that he felt even Mark Henry’s very best would not be enough to beat Orton. “No, I don’t think I can beat you, Mark Henry, I know I can.”

Edge turned to Mark Henry and said that Orton had a good point. Henry’s career had been a bit disappointing. As big and devastating ad Mark Henry is, he should have won a championship by now, but he had not. Edge asked him if it was because of injuries, a fluke, or did Mark just not have enough desire…maybe he just wasn’t good enough.

Mark told Edge that the only reason he would let him walk out of the ring on his own power is because he was right. For fifteen years Henry has seen people smaller and weaker than himself become Champion. But he said that he was always told to go out there, smile, and show his personality. “But Randy, let me tell you.. I am done smiling. I am done ’showing personality’. I am here to destroy.” Orton took his mic, looked Henry in the eyes, and told him that for fifteen years he had been the World’s Greatest Failure.

Edge reminded both men once again that they were not allowed to touch each other during his show. As he slowly backed out of the ring and away from the men, he then told them, “The show is now over.” At that moment Orton attacked Henry as Edge went backstage. Teddy Long called the entire locker room out to break up Orton and Henry, and Henry took them all out. Wrestlers lay prone all over the arena as the show ended.
