WWE Smackdown: Rhodes vs Sheamus for the Intercontinental Championship

Oct 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Cody Rhodes made his way to the ring last night on ‘WWE Friday Night Smackdown’ to meet his opponent. Sheamus, for a Intercontinental Title match. Rhodes began to speak and said that he was officially going on the record as saying that he is being discriminated against by the WWE. He shared how Randy Orton hit him in the side of his head with the ring bell, and left him with nine staples in his head, and yet he was being forced to defend his title once again.

Sheamus came out to the roar of the crowd to meet Rhodes in the ring. Sheamus immediately shoved Rhodes to the floor, and began to beat on Rhodes very early on. As the match went on, Sheamus continued to dominate.

Rhodes soon managed to jump off of the corner ring post and kick Sheamus, gaining some momentum. Soon Rhodes has his boot to Sheamus’s throat in the corner of the ring, as the referee forced him to let go. As Sheamus was trying to catch his breath, Rhodes continued in his attack. Sheamus soon slammed Rhodes into the corner post by the shoulder. The impact looked extremely painful as Rhodes’ shoulder struck the ungiving metal.

Sheamus then went for the three count, but only managed two. The Irish Champion began to hit himself in the chest, and went for Rhodes once again. As Sheamus went for the Celtic Cross, Christian came out and most likely cost Sheamus the Intercontinental Championship for the second time in a week. Christian then performed his ‘Killswitch’ move on Sheamus. There is definitely going to be a heated battle between Christian and Sheamus this weekend at ‘Hell in a Cell’.
