July 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The World Heavyweight Champion made his way to the ring last night on WWE Friday Night Smackdown to face Sheamus. The Irishman is seeking retribution for being kicked in the head by Orton just a few weeks ago. As the two men faced off, a grinning Christian made his way to the ring. Christian is set to battle Orton at Money on the Bank. Christian joined the announcers and the match was underway.

Orton pinned Sheamus into a corner as soon as the match began,. The referee had to count for him to release his opponent, which he soon did. Orton soon had Sheamus set up for the punt, and the crowd went wild, but Sheamus jumped out of the ring. The referee began to count.

Sheamus jumped back into the ring, and Orton jumped on top of him, pounding him with his fists. Orton slammed Sheamus all over the outside of the ring, until Sheamus was able to knock Orton out, The referee started counting Orton out, but Sheamus threw him back into the ring. Slamming Orton’;s head into the ring post, Sheamus was once again alone in the ring. Christian went after the injured Orton, but Sheamus backed him off, not wanting the help. He wanted to show that he could beat Orton on his own, and looked to be doing a good job of it.

Christian continued to linger at ringside, but allowed Sheamus to continue on his own. The two men kept a gruesome battle going, with Orton receiving a great deal of pain form the determined Sheamus as Christian looked on. Soon, however, Orton’s eyes had that “Viper” look, and had Sheamus down for the two count…not quite enough. Sheamus flew off of the top rope and landed on Orton, both men falling to the ring floor in a fight where they were giving their all.

Just as Orton dropped to his knees and was about to attack Sheamus, Christian jumped into the ring and kicked Orton in the head. Orton did not stay down for long, however, and managed to not only administer the RKO to his opponent, Sheamus, but also flattened Christian with the move as well. Orton wins the match by disqualification, however, since Christian interrupted on Sheamus’s behalf.
