WWE Smackdown: Christian vs Randy Orton

October 1st, 2011 - 1:27 pm ICT by Angela Kaye Mason

Oct 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) As Randy Orton walked to the ring last night on ‘WWE Friday Night Smackdown’, his focus was intently on his opponent, Christian, who was already in the ring. It seemed that just the presence of the Viper, Randy Orton, demanded attention.

The crowd began to chant, “Randy, Randy, Randy…” as the battle began. A big win over Christian would send a powerful message to Mark Henry before their upcoming match at ‘Hell in a Cell’. Orton slammed Christian to the ring floor again and again as Christian seemed to be off balance and taken by surprise.

Suddenly Christian turned the tables somewhat as he flew off the corner post and kicked Orton in the chest, changing the flow of the match. Orton soon found himself on the floor of the ring, holding on to his head as Christian watched, ready to lunge again. Christian then got Orton down, but only for a two count.

Orton came back with a vengeance, slamming Christian into the floor, and pummeling him with his fists. Christian very quickly regained control, however, and had Orton in a headlock of sorts. Orton violently threw Christian into the ring post, and control of the match switched hands again. As the two men took the fight outside the ring, they were both counted out, and the bell rang. Orton continued to pummel Christian even though the match was over, and was suddenly attacked by Cody Rhodes.

Rhodes and Christian ganged up on Randy Orton, and it seemed that the Viper was in trouble. Just then, Sheamus ran out to help Orton. Mark Henry then made his way to the ring, and was met by Orton, who tried to RKO the World’s Strongest Man, but instead was given the World’s Strongest Slam.
