Aug 31 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Last night was a special broadcast from the WWE on SyFy from Wichita, Kansas. The ‘WWE Super-Smackdown’ show came one night after a new ‘WWE Raw Super Show’ took place on USA Network. Both shows featured stars from Raw and Smackdown together.

After the signing of the contract between CM Punk and Triple H for their match at ‘Night of Champions’, it was soon time for another main event..a match between Christian and Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship. It was a cage match, and either man could win the match by escaping from the cage, pinning the other man for a three count, or a submission move which made the other man tap out.

Christian begins the match by trying to escape the cage. Orton kicked him, however, and stopped him in his tracks. The match continues in the fashion for a while, with Christian seeking to escape rather than fight, and Orton refusing to let him off so easily. As both men battled back and forth the crowd went wild with cheers of “This is awesome!” A bit odd since The Miz is not in the match….and everyone knows he is the “awesome” one.

Orton manages to pull several of his moves on Christian while averting almost all of the moves Christian counters with. Despite the fact that Christian relentlessly tried to escape Orton’s wrath, Orton soon began to slam the head of Christian into the steel cage over and over. After an RKO, Orton wins the match with the three count.

As soon as Orton has the win, Mark Henry, ‘The World’s Strongest Man’ snatches the door of the cage open, as Orton tries to keep him out. Orton is tossed into the ring like a toy, and then Henry proceeded to pummel him, slamming him into the cage a few times. The show ended with Henry standing over Orton’s prone body, laying the Heavyweight Championship belt across his chest.
