WWE Raw: Punk/McMahon Negotiations, Cena Handicapped Match
July 12th, 2011 - 9:43 pm ICT by Angela Kaye MasonJuly 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) CM Punk made his way to the ring for his last appearance on Raw. He has previously announced that his contract with the WWE ends on the 17th and he would not be renewing it. He also swore to go out with the WWE Championship, which he plans to win from John Cena at the ‘Money in the Bank’ pay per view event. Punk sat in the center of the ring, and asked for everyone’s attention. This time, the crowd cheered him on, loving his antics against Vince McMahon. Punk shared with the audience that Vince wanted to sign him to a “very long and very lucrative” contract with ‘World Wrestling Entertainment’. He called for Vince to have the first ever live contract negotiation in the ring.
Just then, John Cena made his way to the ring, carrying the Championship belt. Punk shared once again how he plans to take the WWE Championship from him. Cena said that he was there to set Punk straight. He informed Punk that he has to go through John Cena to do that. He went on to tell Punk that he is no push over. Cena said, “I’m the best because I have this [Championship Belt] and I earned it.” As Cena told Punk he plans to whip him in Chicago at Money in the Bank, the anonymous General Manager interrupted. He shared the Mr McMahon was en route to negotiate with Punk. He went on to inform Cena that he is to be in a special match since tonight could be his last night on Raw. This comes from McMahon’s instructions to Cena last week, that if he loses to Punk, he will be fired.
The match is to be a handicapped match against New Nexus members and tag team champions, David Otunga and McGillicutti. Cena and Otunga went at it first, but soon McGillicutti was tagged in. The match contained a great deal of technical wrestling, but Cena soon had the upper hand over McGillicutti, who ran to tag Otunga back in. With this change of hands, Cena was soon on the receiving end of punishment from the other two men. The referee often had to count in order to make one of the men leave, since it was supposed to be just one of them at a time in the ring with Cena. He was unable to stop the double-teaming antic of the tag team champions, however this did not stop John Cena, who won the match.
Later in the night, the Chairman of the WWE, Vince McMahon showed up to participate in the first ever live negotiations on RAW. He let the audience know that he was not there to appease CM Punk, but that he would agree to the public negotiation. He feels that contracts should not be negotiated in public, but nonetheless he was there to meet CM Punk, who..by the way, he agrees is a “punk.” Of course, Punk did not like the contract which had been drawn up by Vince, so he had his lawyers draw up one of his own.
Punk pretty much let Vince know that he had to give Punk anything he wanted…such as his own jet, Punk wants his face on shirts, cups, posters, etc, he wants the WWE Ice Cream bars back, he wants ‘WWE Films’ to start production on ‘CM Punk: The Movie’ and he wants to be in the WWE Main Event instead of John Cena and The Rock. The last thing Punk asked for in the contract was an apology from Vince. If Vince does not agree, then Punk promised to leave the WWE with the Championship. A very angry Vince apologized, as Punk asked, and took out his pen to sign the contract.
Just then, once again, came an interruption from the Champ, John Cena. Cena told McMahon that they were acting like kids. He agreed that he also hates McMahon, but he can’t just throw a fit, and demand his way. Cena said that it was the WWE Universe who really suffers by the stupidity. After a punch in the face by John Cena…Punk decided that he no longer wants to be a part of the WWE. He ripped up the contract and promised to take the WWE title this weekend, and end the career of John Cena.
