WWE Raw: Mark Henry vs Randy Orton

October 11th, 2011 - 2:17 pm ICT by Angela Kaye Mason

Oct 11 (THANDIAN NEWS) Last night on ‘WWE Monday Night Raw’, the underhanded antics of John Laurenaitis finally paid off as Vince McMahon relieved Triple H of his duties of presiding over Raw. John Laurenaitis was made the interim general manager of Raw and the fifty five WWE employees who had walked out last week came back. Mark Henry made his way to the ring to face Randy Orton.

Last week on Smackdown, The Big Show made his return, and demanded to wrestled Mark Henry for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. When Henry refused, Show beat him all over the arena. Henry had caused Show to be out of work for months by breaking his ankle in a match. Henry has also caused Kane, and the Great Khali to be out of work due to injuries at the hands of The World’s Strongest Athlete. Henry said last night that after enduring the attack from Show last week, vengeance was his. ( Mark Henry will face The Big Show at WWE Vengeance) Just then Orton interrupted with, “No Mark Henry, vengeance is mine,” as he made his way to the ring. It was Orton who lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Henry.

The match began as usual, with Mark Henry dominating Randy Orton, but as soon as Orton was placed on the top of the corner post, he began to punch Henry in the face. Henry soon gained the upper hand again, however. A huge power slam by Henry left Randy prone for a count of two, and the crowd began to chant “Randy” repeatedly. Randy suddenly flew into action, and performed a DDT on the huge opponent. Rhodes interrupted the match and as Randy was distracted, Henry went for Orton. Orton countered with an RKO, but as he got Henry down for the count, Rhodes interrupted again, and the match was called due to disqualification. Mark Henry became very angry about being disqualified and slammed Orton before snatching the title belt and leaving the ring.
