Jan 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The General Manager emailed in to make a match with Edge in a mini Royal Rumble, in which Jack Swagger, Drew McIntyre, and Tyson Kidd had the chance to become the 40th contestant in the Royal Rumble. Whichever man could through Edge over the top rope wins. Edge won the match, and went after the laptop which the Anonymous General Manager uses to communicate via Michael Cole. Cole begged Edge not to smash the computer, just as CM Punk and the Nexus came out.

CM Punk introduced the newest member of Nexus, Mason Ryan, who is the mystery man that came out with the group last week to attack John Cena. When Punk mentioned the Core, comparing them to the Nexus, Wade Barrett and Nexus came out to defend themselves by saying they are nothing like the Nexus, they are all equal members. The General Manager interrupted via email to set up a match between Nexus leader Punk and Core leader Barrett, and the loser’s entire group is out of the Royal Rumble next Sunday night. The guest referee for this special match? John Cena.

Mark Henry and John Morrison were up next in a tag team match against Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus, which was won by Sheamus and Del Rio. Natalya made her way to the ring to meet her opponent, Melina, who dominated the match from the beginning. Melina threw Natalya out of the rinf, and then proceeded to slam Natalya’s face into the mat several times. Natalya was able to turn the tables, however, and began to throw Melina around the ring. Natalya was able to get Melina into the Sharp Shooter.

Alex Riley accompanied The Miz to the ring for his match against Edge in one of the two main events last night on Monday Night Raw. Vickie Guerrero came out with Dolph Zigler to join the commentators. As Vickie and Dolph consulted on how weak and tired Edge appeared to be, Jerry Lawler managed to slip in a few jabs at Vickie. When Dolph Zigler interrupted , it cost Miz the match. Randy Orton was soon in the ring, and attacked everyone, laying them all out.

Koslov and Santino came out to wrestle against Mike McGillicutti and Husky Harris of the Nexus. Other Nexus members watched from ringside as the match was dominated by their team mates. Santino manages to turn the tide, and was about to administer the Cobra to Husky until Mike interrupted him. Santino was held down for the three count by Husky.

As the leaders of old and new Nexus met in the ring, guest referee John Cena ordered the members of the groups to the locker rooms. “One guy, against one guy,” John stated. Then, just as the bell rang, John slammed both men to the ring floor before Barrett and Punk began the match. Cena continued his attack on the two men during the match, and there was nothing they could do, since he was the ref and could disqualify them. Cena stopped to go to the side and sign autographs while Barrett help Punk down waiting for a count.

John Cena then ruled the match a “Double Disqualification” for excessive use of foul language, citing “This is a PG show.” This would mean that none of the members of either group can be in the Royal Rumble. The General Manager interrupted, and reversed the decision, stating that all of the members of both groups would be in the Royal Rumble. He added that if John Cena did not get into the match and apologize to Barrett and Punk or he was out of the Royal Rumble. Cena apologized, and then attacked the leaders. The Core and Nexus came out to defend their leaders, just as the Big Show came running out. Soon the ring was full of all of the superstars from the Rumble match next Sunday.
