WWE Raw: Brie Bella vs Kelly Kelly Diva’s Championship
June 21st, 2011 - 9:57 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonJune 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Last night on ‘WWE Raw’s Power to the People’ live event, the WWE Universe was invited to choose which WWE superstars they wished to see compete in many of the matches. Audience members simply needed to text their votes in via cell phone in order to retain the power to make that choice. In the Diva’s Championship match, the audience voted for Kelly Kelly to compete against Brie Bella. If Kelly Kelly were to win the match, it would be her first ever championship reign in the WWE.
Kelly was chosen over Beth Phoenix, which really did not come as much of a surprise with the attention that Kelly has drawn over the past few months. She was in a spt with Drew McIntyre, Vickie Guerero, and Edge, and also found herself in trouble with kHARMa. Would she be the new “People’s Champion,” since the Rock did not keep his promise to stay around?
YES! She most definitely would. Kelly managed to win the match with a pinfall and is finally WWE Diva’s Champion. She gave a tear filled thanks to the WWE Universe for voting for her as she held up her belt.
