WWE Raw All Star Night: ‘Piper’s Pit’
June 14th, 2011 - 7:32 pm ICT by Angela Kaye MasonJune 14 (THAINDIAN NEWS) After a tag team match between Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger against Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston, Rowdy Roddy Piper made his appearance on ‘WWE Monday Night Raw: All Star Night’. (Kofi and Bourne won the match with their high flying antics.)
The familiar sound of bagpipes signaled the beginning of Piper’s Pit, and the entrance of Rowdy Roddy Piper, also known as “Hot Rod.” He mentioned a night, twenty five years prior, when he put Mr T on the floor of that very ring. Miz, however, reminds everyone that Piper has never won a main event at Wrestlemania, and never been a World Champion. Alex Riley interrupts, and the crowd actually chants for him.
Miz tells Piper that he will bet a thousand bucks that Piper cannot beat him. Piper hesitates, but finally agrees…and ups the wager to five thousand dollars. The night’s guest general manager, Stone Cold Steve Austin then stepped in. He made the match official, and named Alex Riley as the referee.
As soon as it was possible, Alex Riley counted to three very quickly as Piper rolled Miz into a pinfall. Piper wins the cash, and the match!
