WWE Hall of Fame Induction: Sunny and Drew Carey
April 5th, 2011 - 7:45 pm ICT by Angela Kaye MasonApr 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Sunny’s acceptance speech was not shown on the broadcast of the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony by ‘USA’ Network, reportedly due to the fact that USA has an ongoing agreement with Drew Carey to promote his new series on the Network. According to ‘PWIsinder.com’ Sunny was snubbed for this reason. Drew’s speech also apparently stirred up some heat, which was also cut from the show last night.
Drew Carey was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and Kane was on had to present the induction, and actually had a lot to say, for once. Kane shared how everyone had been talking about Drew Carey the day after Kane won the Royal Rumble. “Drew Carey stole my spotlight…Drew Carey is the embodiment of pure evil. He reminds me..of me.” Because of this, it gave Kane great pleasure to induct Drew into the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame.
During his speech on the air, Drew spoke of his respect for the WWE performers. Backstage, he was said to have been polite and nice to everyone. He seemed to know who the wrestlers were, and went out of his way to introduce himself to everyone. Kane introduced him as the “Host of the Price is Right.”
