Apr 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels is finally a member of the WWE Hall of Fame! During last night’s induction, the Show Stopper, Mr Wrestlemania himself was on hand to give his speech, which incidentally was aired on the show last night. Of course the WWE sell the complete show in a set for those who are interested.

The Game, Triple H introduced Shawn. “What do you say about Shawn Michaels? He did pretty good, although he is only like 5′10 a buck 85.” He spoke of their chemistry no matter if they were partners or opponents, that they had known what each other was going to do before they did it. He spoke of their comedy, especially as the team of “DX”.

Triple H made jokes about Shawn’s thinning hair, and open back chaps, and said Shawn is a member of the ‘Hulk Hogan Hair Club’. But then Triple H got serious, and with a tear in his eye, said it was time to talk about his best friend. “Shawn, I love you, man.”

Shawn blew onto the stage just as he always has, with “Sexy Boy” playing in the background. The two huge men shared a hug and a few tears, oblivious to the audience of thousands watching them in Atlanta, Georgia. The audience began to chant, “Thank you Shawn, Thank You Shawn!” to which he answered, “Nah don’t mention it!”

Shawn then made jokes about the celebrity roast which had broken out on his induction night. He said he was going into the Hall of Fame with no regrets. He gave the credit to the Almighty God, and his wife and two children, and spoke of his love for them all. He thanked his family for being so selfless and “letting Daddy go out and finish what he started.” He also appreciated the WWE Superstars who were so much a part of his life. And then, he thanked his fans, whom he felt a connection to ever since he first tiptoed to the WWE stage on October 1, 1984.

As his speech ended, two more members of the former team DX showed up, Kevin Nash and Xpoc gave Shawn a congratulatory hug as well. As Shawn left the stage, he hugged his two kids, and then held his wife in a long kiss, before waving to the audience.
