Apr 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Jerry The King Lawler was the first one to be called onstage last night at the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony as he welcomed everyone to the event. He reiterated what he says every year, that this is his favorite night of the year when all of the WWE superstars and divas come together to honor those who are being inducted.

Of the next people whom Jerry called out, he said, “These guys have muscles in places that I don’t even have places.” “The Road Warriors were huge, and destroyed everything which came into their path,” according to the Miz. The Big Show said that “when they came to the ring, you knew some business was about to get done.” Made up of ‘Animal’ and ‘Hawk’ the Road Warriors dominated the tag team matches in every wrestling venue they competed in, more than any other team in history. Dusty Rhodes was on hand to induct these superstars into the Hall of Fame.

Animal was present to take give his acceptance speech for both himself and the deceased Hawk. With tears in his eyes, he spoke of his indebtedness to his partner. Michael “Hawk” Hegstrand and Joseph “Animal” Laurinatis were the original Road Warriors, also called the Legion of Doom, although other members, including diva Sunny, who was also inducted into the Hall of Fame were added later. Hawk died of an apparent heart attack on October 19, 2003.
