Wrestler ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage Dies in Car Crash
May 21st, 2011 - 2:11 pm ICT by Angela Kaye MasonMay 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Randy Mario Poffo, better known to wrestling fans as the “Macho Man Randy Savage” was killed on Friday, May 20, 2011 in a car accident which occurred in Tampa, Florida.
According to reports, Savage suffered a heart attack while behind the wheel of his 2009 Jeep Wrangler, and crossed over several lanes of traffic, before crashing into a tree. His new wife, Lynn was in the car with him, and was said to have only suffered minor injuries. In a report from ‘TMZ’, both Savage and his wife of one year, Lynn were wearing their seatbelts. There were NO drugs nor alcohol involved in the incident.
Randy Savage is best known for his days as a professional wrestler in the World Wrestling Federation, or WWF. He flamboyantly blazed a trail in wrestling back in 1985, and was well known for his bright red and yellow outfit, and his “Ohhh yeahhhhh” catch phrase. His commercials for ‘Slim Jim’ meat snacks, “Snap into a Slim Jim” also continued to bring him fame. Randy was fifty-eight years old.
