The animators in Disney and Pixar faced stiff challenge in creating the much hyped ‘World of Color’, a water show that was shown at Disney California Adventure.
They had to take their pick from 26 Disney and Pixar movies. The 25 minute show will present many familiar characters to the viewers. Steve Davison guided the team of animators.
Vanessa Hudgens cuddled up to a replica of Mickey Mouse when she arrived at the Disneyland to see the premiere of the show. It was a spectacular evening for her and other viewers who came to see that extravaganza.
The water and light program was held on a stage bigger than a football ground. The images of the event are now available in the web. The 25 minute show was indeed dazzling and touched upon themes like fantasy, love and dream along with the elements of nature.
It was made and presented on a colossal scale. The viewers remarked in the web sites that the show is so engrossing that it is not possible for once to enjoy it to the hilt in a single viewing. The third act of the show focused on the sinister and dark parts in Disney flicks. It included scenes from ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’, ‘Fantasia’, and ‘The Lion King’ etc.
The show is a really elaborate production and it was in the making for the last 6 years. A lot of changes were made in the show in the last few months as a part of the creative process.
With new Disney movies coming up in near future, the show will again undergo changes.
