Mar 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Mariah Carey has commented that she would like to work in a film directed by Woody Allen, saying that he is one of her favorite directors of all time. The singer and actress, who had recently gained ample critical acclaim for having essayed a role in the award-wining film “Precious: Based On The Novel ‘Push’ By Sapphire,” was all praise for the veteran director. She also commented that one of the best films that she had ever watched was the one that was also directed by Woody Allen himself, “Bullet Over Broadway,” which released in 1994.
Mariah Carey liked the movie so much that she had watched it a number of times; in fact, so much that she can actually recite every word in the film. Much as she would like to be cast in a movie directed by the legendary actor and filmmaker, the 40-year-old actress confessed to never having met the man of her dreams. However, that does not deter her, and she soon hopes to do so, and being cast in a Woody Allen film would be the biggest dream come true for her.
However, there might be more to this wish than to just add another film by a great director to her resume. Mariah Carey seems to have learnt a big enough lesson or two from the “Glitter” disaster, which neither received critical acclaim, nor did well at the box office. However, she decides to put things behind her and look at the future carefully, saying that it is always wise to be surrounded by those people who would be able to add some significance to one’s life, and people one can completely give oneself up to.
