Oct 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) “Wonder Woman” TV show is all set to return to the small screen. The action fantasy, which is adopted from DC comic book superhero, would be made into a television series, according to reports. The new series will be produced by David E. Kelley. The renowned producer, who made his mark with shows like “Ally McBeal,” “The Practice,” and “Boston Legal,” is reported to have signed a deal with the Warner Bros. to produce the television series.
“Wonder Women” is one of the most celebrated female super heroes from the DC comic and therefore, it may be expected that the show will appeal to the young audiences when it is aired on TV. It would not be a bolt from the blue if the show indeed turns out to be a major hit. It has been a long time plan of Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment to relaunch this comic character and reportedly the production houses were looking for the right time and the right project to feature this Amazonian Queen. The production houses also plan to create a movie out of “Wonder Woman” but before that they want to introduce this character to a wider range of audience, as the popular character has almost faded out from people’s memory. The younger generation also needs to be more familiar with “Wonder Woman”.
The New Adventures of Wonder Woman starring Lynda Carter has been a very popular show in the mid-1970s. However, it was called off after some year leaving its fans craving to see the character on TV since then. The new reboot of the show will surely excite her old fans. There has been no reports on which channel will it be featured or in which show will it be incorporated.
