November 12, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The MTV Europe Music Awards 2010 was a star-studded event at Madrid in Spain. Female artists dominated the stage when it came to winning the awards. Like always, our bizarre queen –Lady Gaga made it by winning the award in the best pop category and best song for “Bad Romance”.

Although her fans missed her as she could not be present personally at Madrid, she made up for it by interacting with them through a video link fro Budapest where she was on a tour. Lady Gaga shouted out loud for her fans “I love you all in Europe “.

Next, it was Kate Perry’s  turn to win the award for the best video for “California Gurls”. Kesha won the award in the best new act category. The show was hosted by Eva Longoria who was visibly quite elated to see so many woman achievers winning the awards. Eva remarked “It’s a great moment for all the women artists as they have carved a niche for themselves”.

Eva changed her costumes thirteen times and she also slipped into a costume that was designed in the shape of a Spanish ham. Others who made it the winning list are Eminem, Paramore and the teenage pop sensation Justin Beiber. Bon Jovi also bagged a prize in the global icon category .

However, it was quite disappointing for Miley Cyrus as she lost out to Lady Gaga. It seemed Lady Luck was not with Miley as she also suffered from a wardrobe malfunction at the event. The dress she was wearing exposed her assets with a tattoo that read “just breathe”. Shakira enthralled the audience with her “Loca” and her anthem “Waka Waka “
