Disney Franchise, “The Wizards of Waverly Place” is now a movie too. The movie premiered on the Disney Chanel on August 28. A certain fact that the news has got all the kids in the age group 6 to 14, all excited. “The Wizards of Waverly Place” is most certainly one of the most popular series on the Disney networks, besides “Hannah Montana” and “The Suite Life”.

Production and filming for the movie had begun in the early part of the year, on February 15, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The movie stars the usual cast of the immensely popular Disney flick, like Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Jake T. Austin, Jennifer Stone, David DeLuise and others.

The plot of the movie revolves around the Russo family’s trip to the Caribbean. Alex is still mad at her parents for dictating her life, even though she is sixteen years of age. Her anger at the parent’s dictatorship attitude makes her wish that they had never met in life. Unfortunately for her, the wish is somehow granted. Justin manages to find out from his father a magical object called Stone of Dreams can revert any magical spell that has been cast as well as grant any wish. While Justin and Alex set off on a journey to locate the object of their pursuit, Max puts in efforts to make their parents fall in love once more.

Disney Channel is offering fans of the “Wizards” a golden opportunity to meet their favorite stars like Selena Gomez and Jake T. Austin, at a Disney fan convention held on September 13, in Anaheim, California.
