Wiz Khalifa Arrested On Charges Of Drug Possession, Released Later

Nov 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) After Lil Wayne, T.I., Lil Boosie its time for rapper Wiz Khalifa to have brush with the law. The rapper was arrested for drug possession after his performance in East Carolina University. The eyewitnesses reported that Wiz Khalifa was arrested after on November 9 in Greenville, North Carolina after the law enforcement officials smelled marijuana smoke coming from his tour bus.
John Durham the spokesman for East Carolina University said that the rapper was stopped by East Carolina University police after he left the venue where he performed. The spokesman said that Wiz Khalifa was on his way to his bus with his band but they were stopped by the authorities because of the strong odor of marijuana “emanating” from the bus and backstage area of the “auditorium”. John Durham said that along with Wiz Khalifa, nine other members were also arrested on three charges of marijuana possession. The law enforcement officials reportedly said that the police grabbed 60 grams of pot after searching which is equivalent to 2 ounces.
Pitt County Detention Center’s spokesperson reported that the police booked Wiz Khalifa into jail at around 1:30 a.m. However, the “Show and Prove” singer paid $300,000 bail and released from the detention at around 8 a.m. along with other members of his entourage. The law enforcement officials reportedly said that the 22 year old rapper was charged with a felony count of trafficking in marijuana, one felony count marijuana storage and one misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Wiz Khalifa’s spoken refused to comment anything about the whole incident. However the rapper thanked his fans for their love and support in his social networking site on Tuesday.
