Wisin, Yandel hope for P.Diddy collaboration on new disc

San Juan (Puerto Rico), Aug 17 (IANS/EFE) Reggaeton duo Wisin and Yandel have said that for their next production they hope to collaborate with P.Diddy, Chris Brown, Enrique Iglesias and Ricky Martin.

It would be the first time the rappers include Diddy and Brown on a disc, though they have previously worked with Iglesias and Martin.

The Spanish crooner worked with the duo on the songs “Lloro por Ti” (I Cry for You), “Gracias a Ti” (Thank You) and “No Me Digas que No” (Don’t Tell Me No), while the duo joined Puerto Rican compatriot Martin for “Frio” (Cold) a cut on his new album.

“What we do is take giant steps. We try to do something different,” Wisin said in an interview with EFE.

For his part, Yandel said they are eager to work with Diddy, Brown, Iglesias and Martin because “they are well-known names in music” and have given the duo a great deal of help with their career.

The rappers also said they are willing to work with the Puerto Rican govenment to launch campaigns against the crime and insecurity so prevalent on the Caribbean island.
