Winslet hot favorite among bookies for Best Actress Bafta and Oscar
February 7th, 2009 - 5:55 pm ICT by ANILondon, Feb 7 (ANI): Hollywood actress Kate Winslet is the best bet according to the bookies, who will win one million dollars if she bags the Best Actress awards at the Baftas as well as the Oscars.
The Hamlet actress is being predicted as a guaranteed winner for her role in The Reader or The Revolutionary Road following her Golden Globe victory.
Brit people are said to have been flocking to the bookies to bet on Kate, who has been nominated five times for an Oscar without winning.
Weve already built up significant liabilities on Kate, the Daily Star quoted Ladbrokes spokesman Nick Weinberg as saying.
If she bags the gong tomorrow night her Oscar appeal will go into overdrive, Nick added. (ANI)
