March 30, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): What’s common between Miley Cyrus, Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift? All three of them were winners at the Kids’ Choice Awards that took place on Sunday night!

The popular awards’ show, which is a nice break of sorts from the usual serious award ceremonies, was hosted by Kevin James and was attended by stars like Jay-Z, Steve Carrel, Katy Perry, Tina Fey, Jim Carrey, and Adam Sandler.

Katy Perry joked that she had a bit more cleavage than the kids needed and warned them to not to drench her with slime. Nevertheless, she found herself soaked in the green gooey slime when she was presenting the Favorite Movie Actress Award to Miley Cyrus. After all, that was to be expected at such an event.

Twilight actor Taylor Lautner gave his fans a peek into the upcoming installment of Twilight, Eclipse as he accepted the Favorite Movie Actor Award. He remarked that the action level in the film has gone a notch higher and it is now the height of a love triangle.

Lautner, who won two awards at the event, admitted that he had always dreamt of winning one of these orange blimps.

Country singer Taylor Swift also won two awards – Favorite Female Singer and Favorite Song (for You Belong With Me). She happens to be a favorite with the teens.

Miley might be seen more at awards ceremonies from now on, seeing as she wants to step away from her singing career and focus more on her movie career in 2010. This win sure was encouraging for the actress.

The one person who didn’t look like he was enjoying the evening much was Justin Beiber. He even refused to get slimed. Now, isn’t it obvious that dousing everyone with slime is an integral part of a show like the Kids’ Choice Awards?
