Wink 104’s DJ John Beaston found dead in his abode
July 14th, 2010 - 1:40 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattPennsylvania, July 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The popular DJ of Wink 104 – John Beaston was found dead in his abode on Monday. He was 35 years old.
The station learnt of his untimely death, when he failed to show up for work on Monday morning. He was the news director at Wink 104 as well as the chirpy host of ‘Wink Wake Up Show’. He used to host this show with Denny Logan and Sue Campbell.
His colleagues at the station are shocked by the sudden turn of events. They just can’t believe that John is no more. There are also reports that he died because of a huge heart attack, however this would be known for sure when the autopsy is held.
“We are all shocked. It’s really tragic. I think the staff here has taken it pretty hard. Whenever you lose someone unexpectedly it always hits everyone pretty hard,” according to Ron Giovanniello, who was the local market manager for Wink.
His co-hosts of the show are the ones who are the shocked the most. Denny Logan said that he had known John, since he joined the show 4 years ago. He remembered all the good times that they used to have together.
