Winehouse missed birthday party because of her looks

London, Sep 15 (IANS) Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse refused to attend her own birthday party after realising how drugs have ravaged her looks.Winehouse had a furious row with best friend Remi Nicole, as the latter desperately tried to convince her to attend her own 25th birthday bash, reports thesun.co.uk.
Friends and family kept on waiting for the singer at the surprise celebration that had been arranged for her but she refused to leave home.
“Amy was standing in front of the mirror telling everyone how rough she looked. Unfortunately her lifestyle has had a major affect on her appearance and it’s only just started to sink in,” a friend said.
“She kept saying she was ugly and was in an awful state. They couldn’t get her out,” the friend added.
