Dec 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Legendary singer Willie Nelson was arrested last Friday for possessing six ounces of marijuana. Border Police of Sierra Blanca arrested him after they found that the singer was carrying pot in his bus and Willie Nelson also agreed that the marijuana belonged to him. The media outlets are presently abuzz with the arrest and scrambling on web to find latest update about the singer. Some gossip sources are claiming that Willie Nelson has been convicted for possessing six ounces of marijuana but the police did not comment anything about it.

Willie Nelson’s mugshot has officially hit the internet which has become one of the most searched items on web at present. Dressed in a black t-shirt and black jacket the Iconic singer looks grim faced in the photograph. Willie Nelson was in his tour bus while travelling from California to Austin. The singer was charged with misdemeanor and was booked at the Hudspeth County Jail. However, later he was released after he posted a bond for $2,500. Hudspeth County Sheriff Arvin West previously said that if convicted Willie Nelson will face 180 days in prison.

Willie Nelson is an avid supporter of legalization of marijuana for many years. In one of his interviews he said that the whole thing of legalization of marijuana is a matter of time and education and marijuana can be called as one of the greatest stress medicines on the planet. Back in 2006 also, Willie Nelson was arrested for carrying pound-and-a-half of marijuana and magic mushrooms in his bus. The legendary singer and his representative was unavailable for any comments. However, Mickey Raphael, the harmonica player of the “Midnight Rider” singer said that Willie Nelson feels great as he has lost his weight.
